Regular Steelhead Season:

October through April

The Steelhead “run” is subject to seasonal weather conditions such as water temperature, barometric pressure, and precipitation amounts. All of Pennsylvania’s Steelhead tributaries are freestone streams; rain dictates the flows.

The best time to go fishing is whenever you can, but if you are looking to maximize your catch rate I suggest coming no earlier than October and no later than April. If you do not mind catching suckers and Smallmouth Bass then consider coming in April.

Come say hello! It’s okay to love Erie.

You can hire me as a companion for an upcoming trip. Did your buddy drop out and you don’t wish to go-it-alone? Drop me a line. I’ll fish any style, anywhere, and I would love to compete in a tournament with you.
